Today’s organizations have to compete in a dynamic, complex and even volatile environment. More than ever, core functions such as training and development are under pressure to demonstrate outstanding service to their business partners. Learning professionals are therefore rightfully concerned about the effectiveness of their programs and how these translate into real organizational value. Traditional training models focus on trainer performance, course delivery, training days, and reaction measures. These outcomes have limited value and historic training models will not meet the changing, complex needs of 21st century organizations. To add value, the training strategy must be crafted in line with organizational goals. A focused strategy will deliver learning solutions that improve employee performance and enhance business results.
